T-Spoon's Tutoring Academy Specialist Math Tutor

Before opening T-Spoon's Tutoring Academy over five years ago, Natasha worked as a Math Specialist in a large school district. She focused her career on coaching K-8 educators on effective teaching strategies, curriculum writing, and assessment development.

Natasha also taught math in the classroom to students from Kindergarten to Seventh Grade. Her teachings focused on how to problem-solve effectively and make connections to concepts and skills learned previously. As a result,100% of her students passed year-end assessments for five consecutive years!

As a specialist math tutor, Natasha strives to assist eager learners who have been labeled as "at-risk youth." These children often come from families who are unable to afford specialized math tutoring services. Many are held back in school because they do not have the proper opportunities for guidance in areas where they lack comprehension.

Natasha uses hands-on objects to help students discover why specific skills are important. She believes students need many numbers and operations opportunities to succeed in today's math classes. 

Typically, her students advance their skills by one year within four months.

When Natasha is not working as a math tutor, she enjoys participating in Pilates classes, walking daily, spending time with her granddaughter, and creating one-of-a-kind curriculum unit plans.
